Listen up.

We recorded a live session in the winter of 2023, cozily clustered together in the belly of a balloon-framed Lake Michigan coastal cottage built in 1886. And it turned out to be more than a demo! The house itself became a member of the recording - a sonorous box of old hemlock and oak. Engineered, mixed and mastered by Ryan Hobbs (@Flip the Tape). The album’s live aesthetic embraces the vulnerability of performance.  Each song was the best of 3 takes, with stunning moments of improvisation, and minimal but tasteful overdubbing. These are live performances, played together, in the same room. No click tracks, just pure juice… For the love of resonating together for a moment in time.
